At Movement Matters our team is one of the most important aspects of our business and to quote Richard Branson “A company’s employees are its greatest asset” and how absolutely true this is.

Over the coming weeks, we will be bringing you blogs about our team, what they bring to Movement Matters and important things like what they like to do when they are not being Physio’s or trying to keep myself and Scott organised LOL…. Well Scott mainly 😉.

So first up, drum roll please 🥁 is Mr Jack Roberts, on first meeting Jack after being super pleased with his outstanding knowledge on all things body related and generally a bon oeuf and snappy dresser, we were also pleased we had accessible doorways?? Strange comment you ask…. Well, we met Jack before the hairdressers opened during Lockdown and he was what could only be described as the love child of sideshow Bob and Don King 🤣🤣. In all seriousness Jack is a lovely guy and below is his take on everything you need to know about him.

My name is Jack, I am a chartered physiotherapist specialising in MSK and have been practising for just under 6 years since receiving my Honours degree from the University of Hertfordshire. I previously specialised in orthopaedics and trauma in a hospital which included me undertaking the role of spinal/major trauma lead which I enjoyed very much. I also was lucky enough to be invited to the University of Essex to be a guest lecturer in this topic which I enjoyed greatly. Due to this I have had considerable experience in post-operative physiotherapy including hip/knee replacements and ACL repairs among many other injuries and operations.

I have a keen interest in shoulder and knee rehabilitation but am comfortable treating any part of the body. What I enjoy most is the treatment process with my patients, starting from reducing pain and building a good foundation of movement before progressing on to getting people back to doing the things they love without worry or pain.

One of my passions is training and fitness, I personally am an avid gym goer with a particular interest in weight training and powerlifting. I like to include some of the principles of this training in my current practice, making you better and stronger in the process, setting you up for life after injury and improving your overall fitness as well!

For all your physio needs get in contact with us and see what Jack can do for you.
